Well, we dropped off our oldest at camp yesterday. She won't be back until Friday. I was ok until 2am when I woke up and then stayed awake for two hours. Ugh. This week needs to fly by!
Her little sister is loving it though! She said she hopes that her sister stays away for a year. Nice.....
Little one asked when she can go to sleep away camp. Really? How can I ever send her? Who would I trust?
Someone needs to start a sleep away camp for food allergic kids that's right by my house. Maybe I could handle sending her then.
So, I need lots of stuff to distract me this week. Anybody got any ideas? Good stories to share?
Thanks!
I know it's hard to let go! I'm not sure if I could have ever let Brecken go away for a whole week to camp!!! But, there are camps that cater to kids with special needs, and pay attention to food allergies. Maybe one day... when she's much, MUCH older, you will feel comfortable letting her attend. http://www.epicurious.com/articlesguides/blogs/editor/2013/05/great-summer-camps-for-kids-with-food-allergies-or-gluten-sensitivities.html
ReplyDeleteMaybe a day camp first? :-))
Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteShe's doing a golf camp this year. 4 days for 1 1/2 hours. It's a start I guess. I just want to be able to give her a "normal" life.
