Share it

I fully believe that the only way that lives will be saved, before a cure is found, is education. The only way to educate is to share information.

Share this, another child gone, and her name was Emma....

Shimmer

Another child is gone. Lost to life threatening food allergies. I can't believe it. I feel like I am beating my head against a wall some days. When will this be taken seriously? Our children (and adults) need to be protected. There needs to be life saving epinephrine everywhere. There needs to be better labeling laws. Schools need to have uniform laws on how to handle life threatening food allergies.
Everyone needs to know that food allergies can be, and are, life threatening!

Remember him

Please keep 14 year old Giovanni Cipriano and his family in your thoughts and prayers. He passed after spending two weeks in a coma. He accidentally ate peanuts, he was allergic.
I do not know the circumstances that surround his death but it is yet another tragic reminder of what everyone should know, food allergies can be fatal.
So very, very sad....

If this doesn't motivate you.....

Here is a great blog post, I just had to share.

Do not let the death of this child, and the other children that have passed,  be in vain. Get out there, fight for our kids, fight for your kids, fight for the next generation of families that will have to deal with food allergies.
Be a trailblazer....

When will it end....

Another child has lost her life. Her father was a Dr. and he couldn't even save her. If you have a family member with allergies I am begging you to step up and be an advocate. Do whatever you can to raise awareness. Go to the school, your house of worship, your own Facebook page, join a support group, and talk about food allergies. Talk about food allergies over and over again, to anyone that will listen. We have to do something about this epidemic.
I'm angry today........

My day did start off well. I took my little one to get her allergy shots. I brought the stack of paper work that the Dr. needs to sign with me. So much paperwork to have a few epi pens etc in school. Anyway....the nurse got everything signed for me then and there! Wahoo! Such a time saver. A great office staff is such a blessing.

Speechless.........again

I am speechless. Another senseless death of a child that could have been avoided. I can not begin to imagine the pain that this family is in.
I'm going to ask a favor today. Do something to raise awareness about food allergies today. 1 out of every 13 kids has a food allergy, to me, that is an epidemic. Tell your friends, your family, your school about food allergies. Raise awareness. Food allergy awareness week is coming on May 12. Do something at your school, your work, your neighborhood. We need to educate everyone about this condition before another life is lost. Food must be checked, epi must be carried.
Please throw any questions my way.
Thanks.
